To strategic support to distribution partners in North India and Bangladesh
Sciessent has expanded its global customer technical support team with the addition of Vikas Batra, who will serve as a strategic resource for distributors of Agion® antimicrobial technology and their customers in North India and Bangladesh.

“We conducted an exhaustive search for individuals to join our technical transfer team and have chosen professionals based on their demonstrated technical knowledge of textile processing and proven success in customer relationship management,” said Paul Ford, CEO of Sciessent. “With his extensive experience in the technical, sales/marketing and business development aspects of the textiles industry, Batra has the exact skills we need to support our distribution efforts in the region.”
Batra brings to Sciessent a background in textile chemistry with 16 years of experience in technical consulting, technical sales and marketing management within the textiles industry throughout North India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Pakistan. He has expertise in both textile mills and brands, including the latest concepts in dyeing, finishing and pre-treatment.
Batra spent the majority of his career at global chemical manufacturer Huntsman International, first serving in technical roles, then sales and most recently marketing and business development. His responsibilities included business operations strategy and management, customer relationship management, administration, market analysis, and the development of new markets and market segments. Batra most recently held the position of business development manager for Huntsman, building and maintaining relationships with leading retailers such as Walmart, Target, H&M and Nike.
