Research and Application Progress of Intelligent Color-changing Fibers

Abstract:
Over recent years, the application of intelligent textiles has gained ever more attention. As an important raw material for intelligent textiles, color-changing fibers related technology has developed rapidly. Color-changing fibers are with special compositions and structures, which endows rich colors. They show corresponding color changes with different stimulus responses and can be used in many special fields. In this review, the research progress of several common color-changing fibers and color-changing fabrics based on color-changing fibers at domestic and overseas is introduced. Finally, the future development of color-changing fibers and textiles is prospected.
