To support growing adoption of its Agion® antimicrobial technology among textile manufacturers in India and Sri Lanka, Sciessent has appointed J. Bhuvaneswaran as senior level technical sales manager for the region. As a member of the company’s technical transfer team, Bhuvaneswaran will provide technical and commercial support to Sciessent’s local distribution partners and their customers.

Bhuvaneswaran’s successful sales record in the textiles industry, strong networking and relationship building skills, and in-depth knowledge of the Indian and Sri Lankan markets are tremendous assets to our team, to our distributors and to the customers they serve,” said Paul Ford, CEO of Sciessent.
Bhuvaneswaran has a proven track record in successfully managing sales, marketing and product development efforts within the chemicals and textiles industries. He most recently served as senior sales manager for TRA India Private Limited, where he spent seven years growing sales of the company’s Ultra-Fresh and SILPure antimicrobials in India and Sri Lanka.
Prior to TRA India, Bhuvaneswaran was marketing manager for Rudolf Atul Chemicals, a joint venture between Rudolf GmbH (a German company) and Atul (an Indian company) that is engaged in the manufacturing and marketing of textile chemicals in India. His responsibilities included dealer account management, customer service, new product development and inventory management related to the company’s South Market customers.
During his 15-year career, Bhuvaneswaran has also held positions as technical account manager for textile manufacturer Huntsman International (India), where he supported the company’s dealer management team in the attainment of sales goals and targets in allotted territories; and technical officer for Precot Meridian, where he was responsible for production and quality control of the company’s yarns and threads and health and hygiene care products.
Bhuvaneswaran holds an MBA in marketing management from Bharathiyar University, Coimbatore.
