ZEGNA BARUFFA LANE BORGOSESIA
Zegna Baruffa Lane Borgosesia has been able to keep the foundations established in 1850 by the first founders unchanged, to give continuity to that forward-looking dream of quality, service, innovation and respect for the environment. The Company continues to create economic development in the areas where its plants are located: it is in fact one of the few full cycle spinners with all production units in Italy, a country where excellence can still be created.
Since the beginning of its history, the Company has embarked on a sustainable path: from 1906 to 1911 it was awarded with the prizes for "social works" and for "social hygiene". Today like yesterday, the Company shows a total commitment to production transparency and 360-degree corporate sustainability, using only green electricity and applying, since 2019, the Chemical Management 4Sustainability protocol through the MRSL ZDHC on the entire production process. To demostrate this concrete commitment, the Company has published five certified Sustainability Report (GRI Standards). The latest two editions also explain the Zegna Baruffa’s ability to meet 15 of the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Z. HINCHLIFFE & SONS
Z Hinchliffe & Sons Ltd
Our ultimate aim is to produce the highest quality and most luxurious yarns available on the international market. We are able to achieve this by combining modern spinning technology with our 250 years’ experience.
Environmental Issues: As we move deeper into the 21 st century environmental issues become ever more prevalent and we are aware of this throughout the whole manufacturing process. Based in Denby Dale, Yorkshire the River Dearne runs by our factory and we use this water for dyeing and afterwards we treat the effluent and return it. Due to the latest dye house equipment, we are able to dye at lower temperatures whilst maintaining the colour fastness. We have taken many measures to reduce power consumption and now use ‘efficiency 1’ motors whilst all the lights are censored.
Sustainability/Traceability: We source our natural fibres with the main priority being animal welfare. To this end we work with only a limited number of suppliers so that we are better able to trace the origin of our fibre. We are members of certain animal care accreditation schemes and are applying for others.
Customer Base: Our yarns are sold to knitters and weavers across the globe and then onward manufactured and passed on as a finished product. These are found in luxury retailers such as Prada and Gucci etc, in mail order catalogues or online. We are stocked in many independent high quality clothing stores whilst our Lambswool is sold in many golf club shops throughout Europe and further afield.

TCP
TCP collection reveals a world of pure silk yarns in which innovation, quality and tradition combine together to interpret a fine knitwear as a sign of modernity. Silk, the noble and precious fibre, rich in tradition and culture, is the unique and exclusive product of TCP. The collection shows interesting versions, perfect for alternative uses that enhance the brilliance and opacity, the crispy and fresh quality or the delicate and soft touch. Very fine silk threads glide smoothly or ripple in nervous and snappy links. Dense cords highlight three-dimensional reliefs and play with vibrant polychromes. The rich range of Mélange is expressed with blended tones or instead with tone-on-tone streaks to refine classic or casual jerseys.
The silk threads are intertwined with Lurex and vibrate with iridescent reflections, dark mineral brilliance, elegant metallic silver and gold references. Preciousness and chromatic harmonies are expressed in the fusion with merino wool and cotton. The TCP collection is enriched with interesting proposals of organic silk. The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is recognized as the most important standard for the sustainable production of garments and textile products made from natural fibres from organic farming. TCP silk meets the most advanced criteria of sustainable production.

ILARIA MANIFATTURA LANE
I have established the Ilaria Manifattura Lane in 1967, a few months after the Florence flood, when Prato was the Eldorado of creativity and there existed concrete business opportunities for the production of fantasy knitting yarns. I set a clear goal: unify to creativity and culture of yarns, rigour and efficiency of the working method. It was the right choice. In a short period, we established ourselves thanks to the yearns' originality and to the heavy work on foreign markets. In 1972 we added to the big fantasy twisting system, the departments of spinning, winding, yarn cleaning and dyeing. This process allowed us to cover the complete production cycle and to protect, in this way, the quality of our products, fantasy yarns for knits, weaving and aguglieria. We also attracted the market part disappointed by a producting system based on labour only subcontracting. The excellence, identifying the company, it is tracked not only in the choice and analysis of the raw materials, but in particular in the high-quality competence, shown in the design, manufacturing and yearns' checking process. Also, from an ecological point of view: infact we work, in the total respect of the sector's rules, cornerstones of the producting process. Even though, during the years, we reached many goals, we have never neglected the customer service-always guaranteeing exact precision and fast delivering-and the necessity of improving ourselves, it is a confirmation of a stable reality, that would like to continue in this way for a long time.

FIL.PA 1974
Fil.pa was born in 1974, created by the young Paolo Padrini, who, thanks to the experience gained in the field, decided to create his own manufactury in order to sell what he knows best: chenille. From there it was easy to arrive to produce high-fantasy yarns, which today are easily finded on the most important catwalks and transformed in wonderful textiles or splendid knitwear. Our articles are aimed to those who want to dare and give a bit of originality to what they produce. Our spring summer knitwear collection 2023 is focused on quite thick yarns, but never too heavy: they are made not only by natural fibers but also synthetic ones, in order to give an eccentric touch to the collection. To this you can always find our propositive and new chenille.

E. MIROGLIO
A project that, bucking the trends of the European textile market, is constantly growing and in a few years was able to positioned itself among the world leaders in the production and sale of yarns, and woven and knit fabrics. Prerequisites of our project are high specialization and peculiar attention to the human factor: the corporate philosophy is based on the belief that the most modern technologies, the pursuit of quality perfection, the high availability of raw-materials and final products are not enough for assuring constant growth if not supported by great enthusiasm, passion and dedication in which all those taking an active part in the project have been involved, i.e. all the 2.000 people employed at E.Miroglio.
The distinguishing characteristic that has allowed E.Miroglio to include among its customers almost all big world brands is a constant and systematic ability of being propositive. In a market that cannot afford only two seasonal presentations any longer, but that has to continuously renew its own offer, E. Miroglio is an ideal partner, for its products but also its colour range, which represents an increasingly crucial factor for success.
The Two Brands:
- Fabric Division, with the MIROGLIO LANA brand, woolen and worsted fabrics, knit fabrics, for women and for men, and also a corporate line.
- Yarn Division, with the brands EM FILATI, RAUMER and SVILOSA YARN, classic and fancy knitting yarns, woven yarns, worsted, woolen and cotton spun yarns.

ALPACA DEL PERU’
Alpaca fiber is considered a valuable material like mohair and cashmere: it is a natural, light, hypoallergenic fiber, excellent insulator because it retains heat in cold weather and has refreshing properties in the hottest periods. It consists of a palette of 22 different natural shades, from snow white to intense black, through all the shades of gray, brown and beige. And it offers great versatility that allows it to be used in the most several ways: mixed with silk it has unparalleled shine and fall, with wool and acrylic it lends itself to cheaper uses for a mass market.
Alpacas live at 3,800 meters high, where the land is not suitable for agriculture, and the water supply comes from natural sources. Fiber has a lowfat content, therefore the manufacturing process requires less energy and chemicals, to the benefit of the environment and the increasingly aware and attentive consumer.
This millenary tradition fiber is important for Peru also from a social point of view: currently there are about 120,000 alpaca breeders, mainly located in the Andes. They form the foundation of the production chain, just as alpacas are the pillars on which their survival and sustenance rest.
A FEW FACTS ABOUT ALPACA DEL PERÚ
- Perù is home to 80% of the global alpaca population
- 5,000 years of millenary culture and textile tradition
- Alpaca fibers naturally come in a range of 22 colors
- Hypoallergenic
- Extremely fine while also quite durable
- Lightweight breathable and soft
- Sustainable and eco-friendly+ no animals are harmed during the shearing process
- Peruvian alpaca is an integrated industry, from the fiber to the garment
- Internationally renowned brands produce their collections with alpaca del Perú.
WHAT IS THE “ALPACA DEL PERÚ” BRAND?
Alpaca del Perú exists to communicate all that is unique about Alpaca, long referred to as the “treasure of the Andes”. Its logo shows the Alpaca silhouette, looking straight ahead to the future while its design is drawn with lines that reflect the ancient hand work of our natural fiber. Today, Alpaca fiber is synonymous with luxury and quality. Peru is not only the number 1 supplier of Alpaca fiber in the world, but it is also a country manufacturing top notch clothing and accessories for the global market, seen on the runways of Paris, Milan, NYC and more. With its versatility and myriad shapes and colors, there is no limit for Alpaca del Perú.
TYPES OF ALPACAS
The beauty of the Alpaca is unlike any other. There are 2 breeds: Huacaya, which represents 85% of total Alpaca population and Suri, making up the balance with 15%. The Huacaya have a fluffy appearance due to their short, curly hair, hile the Suri have a slick, shiny fleece that hangs from its body in long, twisted locks. The 90% of the Alpacas are located at the south of Peru (Puno, Arequipa and Cusco).
