“At the same time that the work continues with excellent results on the digital platform Connect ” , says Raffaello Napoleone , CEO of Pitti Immagine , “ which will remain online with the winter collections and special events until the first week of April, we are already opening the registration for the next summer cycle by sending invitations to our exhibitors in order to give companies clear points of reference to schedule their activities, fully aware that, between now and summer, we all have to follow carefully the evolution of the health situation . We will act quickly depending on the circumstances ”.
“We have decided to reduce Pitti Uomo from four to three days” , continues Agostino Poletto , general manager of Pitti Immagine , “to satisfy the requests for a maximum concentration and savings in terms of expenses that we have received from our exhibitors. Regarding Filat i, we can confirm the location of Stazione Leopolda , which had already been selected for the February edition that was later canceled, because like the textile entrepreneurs, we think it would be very appropriate for a thought-out design – both in functionality and aesthetics – for an objectively extraordinary phase ”.
And he adds: “The organizational and security plan for Fortezza da Basso, as for the other sites, has been prepared – it had in fact already been drawn up – and we are coordinating everything with the institutions (City Council, regional administration, ministries ) and private entities (carriers, airports, stations, hotels, etc.) all involved together in the activities of the fair. The complete summer cycle will be characterized by a strong integration between physical and digital formats , in an attempt to benefit from all the opportunities for the breadth and depth of the services they offer ”.
“Finally” , Poletto concludes , “a note on Taste : based on the recent decree issued by the Italian government, we have canceled the scheduled April dates (April 10-12) and have decided to move the fair to the end of June, a period that fits in with the sequence of the other events, and confirming its location in Fortezza da Basso , whose dimension allows an effective organization of spaces in accordance with the requirements of social distancing. We are more than determined to have the fair with the quality and liveliness of always. The many and convinced supporters that we have gathered so far tell us that the direction is correct.
