The company Hilaturas Arnau, member of the cluster, participated, on 20th November, at the 3rd conference “Textile industry and sustainability” which was held virtually.
This conference is organized annually by INTEXTER, also member of the cluster.
Hilaturas Arnau highlighted the different types of recycled products it produces, from various materials such as modacrylic, PBI, meta-aramid, etc .; as well as the portfolio of 100% vegan, 100% sustainable and 100% compostable yarns, obtained by blending recycled fibers with new natural materials such as corn, hemp, bamboo, kapok, ramie, tea, mint, rose, aloe vera, etc.

Finally, the company mentioned, among others, two of the projects it has ongoing, in which it has the support of AEI Tèxtils: The manufacturing of biodegradable yarns by blending environmentally friendly materials, co-financed by the Catalonia Waste Agency and Circular Technical Textiles, co-financed by the European program INNOWWIDE.
Hilaturas Arnau also participated at the round table session about the Impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the sustainable policies of the textile sector.
