I was also a founder trustee of SDC EC India and served as their Chairman Trustee for two years. My appointment as President epitomises the transition of SDC towards globalisation and honours the work done by SDC EC India. My objective as President is to promote the Society internationally to as many coloration hubs as possible, be it textile, paint or leather. I look forward to working with the staff and trustees to promote the Society internationally’.
The new president will work closely with SDC’s Chief Executive, Dr Graham Clayton. Dr Kamat is one such exceptional individual with experience, connections and knowledge that will greatly strengthen the SDC during his Presidency. Dr Kamat’s appointment has generated quite a buzz of excitement amongst his friends. According to the SDC release : “Dr Kamat obviously has the experience, skills and networks to ensure a good Presidency but it is perhaps his dedication to the industry that gets people excited the most and all at the SDC look forward to working with him.”
