The Apparel and Textile Association of Guatemala (VESTEX)

The Apparel and Textile Association of Guatemala (VESTEX), an entity representative of the sector that works together to promote the industry’s exports through strategic alliances with public and private institutions at the National and international.

Apparel and textile industry companies in Guatemala produce from yarns, fabrics, embroidery, serigraphs, sublimation, accessories, dyeing and special finishes until the delivery of the final product, creating the products with the highest added value in the region.

VESTEX´S main mission is to represent the interests of the apparel and textile industry before different forums, spaces, and national and international institutions, promoting initiatives that allow the sustainable growth and development of the sector and its employees.

The Textile Industry Academy (TIA) was created by VESTEX with the purpose of giving the entrepreneur a place where they could find integral support and specific knowledge in order to professionalize their human resources in order to keep the company being competitive in a national and international level. Professionalization is directed towards people that currently work in the apparel and textile industry, as well as for people who wish to integrate themselves into the labor force of the sector. The Academy has seminars directed to: High Management, Technicians, Supervisors and middle managers.
