Color Root (Hubei) Technology Co., Ltd. is headed by Mr. Liu Wei Bin. With the experience of more than 26 years, he is a well known figure in the field of dyestuffs chemicals. He is one of the CPPCC members in Hubei province. He is also a guest professor at the Wuhan Textile University. He is awarded special allowances from State Council of China.

Color Root (Hubei) Technology Co., Ltd. is one of the high-tech enterprises in China engaged in manufacturing of dyes (acid dyes, reactive dyes and disperse dyes, vat dyes, direct dyes, etc.), additives and dye intermediates, pharmaceutical intermediates, pesticide intermediates and pigments. I have been visiting India quite frequently. I have visited India for more than 20 times. I think India is moving very fast. A lot of things have changed as a result of development. There is a feeling of little slowdown in China because of the not so favourable economic situation in the US and also in the EU countries. But I am sure that India, China and other developing countries will continue do better and grow in future. In the past, our textile industry was largely dependent on overseas markets of the US and Europe. But now significant economic development has taken place in our own countries because of which the domestic consumption has greatly increased. The textile industry now has huge domestic market also at its disposal to cater to and prosper.
Fluorine based reactive dyes have major advantages in terms of high light fastness and high perspiration fastness. They are not harmful to skin. In addition to this they require much lower amounts of salt and alkali during the dyeing process. They lead to considerable savings in energy as well as low effluent discharge load. In China, we are now under pressure to protect environment and to ensure strict norms for industrial waste water discharge. Fluorine based dyes are much more eco-friendly compared to the conventional reactive dyes. In view of all such advantages, there is an increasing trend towards the use of fluorine based dyes.
In the past, the production of fluorine based dyes was solely controlled by a few large European manufacturers. But with the advancement of technology at home and with the experience gained from the European manufacturers, we have been successful in generating huge capacity for the fluorine based dyes using state-of-the-art technology and our own raw materials. We can now cater to the growing need of the domestic as well as the entire Asian market. Conventional reactive dyes are now being replaced by our cost effective, energy saving and environment friendly fluorine based range of reactive dyes which offer cost savings of up to 50%. We are confident that in the coming five years we will register an annual growth rate of 30%.

In China, we have certain constraints like higher government duty on cotton etc. which hinder the growth of cotton textile industry. We hope to achieve good market share for our fluorine based reactive dyes because of the advantages they offer.
Apart from the China market, we are concentrating on the Indian textile market because India is a major cotton textiles producing country. There is growth in cotton production as well as consumption. Our main focus now is on Asia including India. We are fortunate that we have got Colorant as our partner in India. Colorant and Color Root partnership has proved that they are made for each other.
