Textile Machinery Exhibition held in Uzbekistan
CAITME brings together the leaders of the textile machinery industry again in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan – CAITME, the main international exhibition of equipment and technologies for the textile, garment and knitwear industry in Central Asia, was held in full scale on 7-9 September 2022 at Uzexpocentre, Tashkent (Uzbekistan) and will open the autumn exhibition season of Iteca Exhibitions.
The textile industry is a dynamically developing sector of the economy of Uzbekistan, the sphere of introducing innovations and new technologies, attracting foreign investment, creating new enterprises, including textile and cotton-textile clusters, as well as implementing large-scale social goals – creating a large number of new jobs. All this implies the need for a wide range of equipment and technologies for the entire production chain – from yarn to ready-made garments.
CAITME is a unique event that opens up endless opportunities to bring advanced technologies to Uzbekistan, upgrade production facilities and establish mutually beneficial cooperation.
The CAITME platform is a review and demonstration of the achievements and developments of world manufacturers in the field of sewing and textile engineering, where there is the necessary equipment and components for each enterprise. CAITME is a unique international exhibition of technologies for the textile and clothing industry in the Central Asian region. According to an independent audit of the World Exhibition Association, UFI is the largest exhibition of this subject in the CIS.
Recognized leaders in textile engineering and suppliers of the most advanced technologies from Europe and Asia regularly participate in the exhibition. The event is supported by key ministries and departments, attended by professionals and experts from the industry of the Central Asian region, leading investors and international organizations. This year they will also be joined by visitors from European countries, who will come for novelties and new contacts. This gives the event even greater scope and significance.
CAITME 2022 returned to its pre-pandemic scale again, its exposition unfolded in all exhibition halls of the Uzexpocentre NEC. The pandemic has affected the activities of many textile machinery companies. Restrictions in many countries did not allow full participation in the exhibition in 2021, even the largest market players could not bring machinery and equipment. This year the exhibition met the full composition of the world’s leading manufacturers. Among them are: Picanol, Saurer, Truetzschler Gmbh, Rieter Machine Works, Toyota Textile Machinery, Vandewiele NV, Juki, Tajima, Textima, Itema, Brother, Konica, Mimaki, Lakshmi Machine Works and others.
A wide range of high-tech textile and clothing equipment exhibited caught the attention of visitors. Examples: main and auxiliary equipment for textile and clothing production, components, technical equipment, instrumentation and laboratory equipment, industrial air conditioning and ventilation systems, compressors, chemicals and dyes, cotton cleaning equipment and much more. Visitors got the opportunity not only to see the machines in action, but also to get advice on operation and evaluate the technical characteristics of the exhibited equipment.
This year’s exhibition featured around 250 companies from 19 countries: Austria, Belgium, Great Britain, Germany, India, Spain, Italy, China, Republic of Korea, Pakistan, Poland, Russia, USA, Turkey, Uzbekistan, France, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Japan.
Three countries: Germany, Italy and the Republic of Korea participated with National expositions.
The TOP-5 participating countries were: Turkey (84 companies), Italy (55 companies), Germany (39 companies), India (25 companies), China (17 companies).
The share of foreign exhibitors was 86%, Uzbekistan was represented by 42 companies, dealers and suppliers – this was 14% of the total number of participants.
Turkey was represented by the largest contingent of exhibitors. Eighty-four Turkish manufacturers presented their developments and the latest technologies to the visitors: a wide range of sewing and textile equipment and components: equipment for dyeing and finishing, fabric quality control machines, oils for equipment, steam boilers, filters, reverse osmosis, dryers, chemicals and dyes and more.
The Italian National Pavilion was organized by the I.C.E Agency and the ACIMIT Association. The participating companies exhibited socks machines, cutting systems, finishing, drying, laboratory and dyeing equipment, dosing systems, water treatment systems, steam boilers and much more.
The German Pavilion in the exhibition had companies that presented lines for sewing bed linen, dyeing and finishing equipment, preparatory weaving equipment, knitting needles, heat-setting machines, turnkey technological lines and others.
As part of the national stand of the Republic of Korea, 10 manufacturers of twisting and winding machines, finishing equipment, spinning accessories, preparatory equipment for spinning, weaving machines for standard and narrow fabrics participated.
Companies from India, China, Switzerland and other leading manufacturing countries offered a wide range of machineries.
Indian textile machinery at CAITME will be represented by 25 leading manufacturers of equipment and components for various stages of textile and clothing production: spinning accessories, bobbins, spinning cans, grinders, chemicals and dyes and much more.
At the booths of 17 companies from China, one could see looms, hosiery and knitting equipment, circular knitting machines, spinning accessories, sewing machines and other equipment.
The active participation of leading Swiss manufacturers in the composition of 11 companies has also become traditional. This year, their booths will showcase conveyor belts and belts, spinning equipment and accessories, test and laboratory equipment, vacuum waste disposal systems and much more.
A few months before the opening, there was a keen interest in the exhibition among the manufacturing companies of the clothing and textile industry and related industries, which were looking forward to the opening of the exhibition. Professionals from Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Russian Federation, Belarus, Latvia, Lithuania, Turkey, India and many other countries participated.
The CAITME exposition was divided into sections:
- Pavilion 1 – Knitting, dyeing, finishing equipment
- Pavilion 2 – Sewing, embroidery, cutting, printing and other equipment for the production of clothing
- Pavilion 3 – Spinning, twisting, winding equipment and components
- Pavilion 4 – Equipment for weaving and non-woven production, dyeing and finishing machines, National expositions.
- Atrium 1 – Chemicals and dyes, water treatment systems and recycling
- Atrium 2 – Cotton ginning equipment, spinning accessories
A large number of new products were presented in each sector of the exhibition.
Especially relevant were the novelties in finishing and dyeing, printing on fabrics. In pavilions 1 and 2, companies representing the latest printing technologies in the textile industry demonstrated their products.
More than 3,500 professional visitors had online registration.
