The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) has issued the following notice to caution industrial units not to be trapped by fraudulent people/organizations posing as representative of CPCB start calling them promising help in resolving the issues raised in any official notices/directions that they might have received.
It has come to the knowledge of CPCB that whenever Non Compliance Notices/Directions are issued to any Industry/agency for violation of environmental norms/rules, some fraudulent persons posing as representative of CPCB start calling them promising help in resolving the issues raised in such notices/directions.
It is hereby informed to Industries/agencies and general public that CPCB has not authorized any person or firm to approach any industry/agency.
Therefore, industries/agencies are advised not to entertain such fraudulent persons/firms.
Further, industries and general public are advised to beware of the fake websites using the name of CPCB promising employment, consultancy services, etc. https://cpcb.nic.in/ or https://cpcb.gov.in/ is the only official website of CPCB.
